1991 Landcruiser Automatic, 200K, inline-6 cycl engine.

Service manual shows the TDC mark just above the starter. This area is COMPLETELY full of wiring harnesses. I cannot see the top of the starter
or the engine bell, much less a TDC mark. See photo below. Questions:

1) Did someone rewire my Landcruiser?
2) Is there another place to see TDC?
3) Is there another way to position the engine at TDC for a valve rocker adjustment?

Thanks for your help.

Okay this what we'll do. 1. Remove no.1 sparkplug, crank engine over in burst till you get the piston all the way up-stop, remove distributor cap-is the rotor pointing to the no.1 tower of the cap-if not and its pointing no.4 turn engine over at the crank 1 revolution, at this time the rotor should be pointing to no.1 cap. When You're in no.1 TDC the no.4 will be in the rocking position. Remove valve cover start adjusting the no.1 rockers follow the firing order rotation 123456 on the cap for the next cylinder to fire and so on Good luck
