The car has a new longblock and transmission and has run fine for a year. We have spent $21,000 so far. ALMOST everything is new.
It runs FINE when it is cold or warm for the first 15 minutes. Then, and i can not say how suddenly, you can not depress then throttle without major hesitation, roughness and NO power. You have to feather the pedal to get the thing home.
I can not continue to pay $80/hr for diagnostics. The catalytic converters (2) have been checked OK.
THIS IS ONLY WHEN IT GETS UP TO FULL TEMPERATURE - it does not overheat. There are no ECU codes.
Please do not recommed the usual suspects unless they are specifically related to a MAJOR perfomance change due to temperature - i can not go through the littany of all things we have done. I did disconnect the EGR birefly and drove it - that did nothing to fix the problem.
Can i disconnect the temperature sensors to track this down?
