I am replacing the timing gear oil seal on the timing gear cover, along with the timing gear cover gasket. Do I need to replace the gasket on the plate behind the timing gears? and if so, how do I do that? It would seam like a lot of added work just to replace a another gasket that may not be leaking. Or is it somthing that should be done any way> since I am not exactly sure what to do in order to get the timing gears off of the front of the motor.

it should not be necessary to replace the gasket behind the timing gears, considering the cover should seal the whole timing gear system.
