Tire/Allignment-after repair made

Do you need an allignment if they replace the sterring shaft assembly?
Would a bad bearing "compromise" a tire-wear it out on the inside? Would an allignment needed cause a bearing problem? After having the rear bearing assembly and hub replaced, is an allingment needed?
There was a "tire noise" after the tires were rotated last(only 15,000mi on tires-Bridgestones-air and rotated maintained)-brought back and had repair on bearing. Still have "tire noise". Went to tire shop and was told probably need an allignment-definite wear on inside of tire(not all tires, one especially).

The alignment should be done when replacing a fronat axle shaft.

A bad bearing can cause a tire wear condition....if there is play.

Not doing an alignment should not cause a bearing problem.

Not sure on the alignment for a rear wheel bearing, but doubt it.

The last sentence sounds like you made the mistake of not sticking with one place.

And alignment would not be necessary as I see it. I'll let the other post go, for the second opnion!
