My rear window keeps falling of the trac and toyato dealer has put it back on twice. They suggest changing the rubber seal around the window and replacing the regulator, sounds like they are just guessing, any ideas?

thanks jerry

Hi Jerry,

Replacing the runchannels would be the first thing to do. They are usually the cause of door glass running out of position.

You can try some silicone lubricant onto the runchannels to see if the problem is resolved.

You are welcomed.

Silicone is only a temporary measure but if you apply it once in a while, it is going to prolong the life of the motor and runchannel. However if the runchannels have hardened, they would have to be replaced.
