Lack of oil in system, but by nature it will get hot because it is compressing refrigerant gas which heats up under compression.

What are the recommended pressure for the system to be considered perfectly in good working Oder?what can cause pressure not to be on the correct levels as required and can this be the cause of the cooler compressor pump becoming extremely hot?The cooler compressor pump is in good condition.
