Where exactly is the intake air temp sensor located?

Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is a thermistor built into MAF meter and is used to monitor temperature of air flowing through MAF meter.

Right inline with the fresh air intake. It is bolted to the upper cap on air cleaner assy.

Almost there. There are two sensors there, a large one (A) on top on the ait intake, then a small one (B) "inline" with the intake going to some kind of air hose.
