Hi, I bought a 1989 Toyota Cressida almost 4 years ago. I have put 30k miles on it and it still runs great. Recently, I notice it's leaking a little oil. This is exacerbated by the fact that the car's dipstick is too short, i.e. even when full of oil, the stick shows nothing. A couple years ago, I ordered an 89 Cressida dipstick from the local Toyota dealership parts office and the new one was the same length -- too short. So, my question is, what's up with the engine in my car? Could it be a Supra engine or another year Cressida engine that requires a longer stick? The one in my car definitey is the "hemi" straight 6, 24 valve Toyota engine (and a fast, quiet one). But it's time for the right length dipstick. Please help if you can. Thanks, jdillon

Hi there,

If you can report the Engine no off the block this will help identify your engine.
