Engine Performance problem
1988 Toyota Cressida 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 155 58 miles

I HAVE CRESSIDA'88 2000 CC. THE IGNITION SYSTEM USING CARBURATOR (THE ORIGINAL WAS INJECTION) WHEN I GOT IT. THE SELLER HAD CHANGED THE IGNITION SYSTEM. CARBURATOR USING SUZUKY CARRY 1000 - 1300 CC. MY QUESTION IS: THE TOP SPEED IS 115 KM/HR AND VIBRATES AT THIS SPEED. I FEEL UNCOMFORT. DOES IT CAUSED BY THE IGNITION CHANGING? OR BY ANOTHER ELSE? AT SPEED BELOW 115 KM/HR I FEEL COMFORT, NO VIBRATION.

THANK YOU

Most likely you have an issue with wheel balance or alignment. Take to alignment shop and have it checked.

I can say from experience that at least a 1984 toyota cressida can hit 108 mph without shaking. That someone put a carb on a cressida is just strange. However, since the problem seems to not be linked to engine speed, this change is probably not the culprit.

The carb thing is wierd, but some people would rather not spend the money to get the FI working, so they go carb.
