Left Parking Brake On, Rear Tires won't move

Have a 2003 Corolla, front wheel drive. Haven't driven in a few months, and it was left parked with the parking brake. The rear tires won't move forward at all. Any suggestions?

Lift and support rear of car. Remove rear wheels and try hitting the outer edge of the drum with a hammer to try to shock them free
