Fuel Cap Release Not Opening Fuel Flap

My fuel cap release next to my seat is not releasing the fuel cap flap rendering me unable to refuel my car. Is there some manual method that I can use to open the flap and therefore refuel my car and get the cable fixed

as far as i know there is no other releases. take a rag
place it under a screwdriver where the door is and gentle pry it open. be careful not to scratch the paint
