Do an ignition system check-look for spark while cranking, at the sparkplug wire while grounded.

does that mean to check the plug because i have done that, someone said the wires could be on backwards, how do you know?

Put the engine's no.1 cyl on TDC and follow the firing order-you need a book

Disconnect the coil wire, while cranking the engine over look for spark while grounding the wire.
