2007 Toyota Corolla Corolla squeak

Hi

In the last few months my Corolla has developed an intermittant noise - a bit like a brief squeak - that seems to be coming from the front left of the car. It happens only when the car is driving over a bump or indentation in the road but, strangely, the noise does not appear every time this happens!

Raise car, put on stands. Inspect the lower control arm, bushings and any bolts that appear to be rusted.

Spray a little WD40 on bolts, bushings and other suspension components, see if noise lessens or disappears. Do not spray on or near brake components, rotor, pads.
