2006 Toyota Corolla Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have been looking for estimates on changing my Toyota Corolla door. I have a door, but it's automatic. The door to my vehicle is manual, not automatic. A friend of mine did me the favor of changing the door. He had to change the window, connect the mirror since it was the only thing automatic, change the inside mechanics of the door since the one on the new door was all automatic yet mine is manual. It had to be converted back to a manual door. What is the average price for a job like this. My friend charged me $300.00 and I want to make sure I didn't get ripped off. What do you guys think? Thanks.

So he took a door with power windows and converted it to a manual crank? And installed it?

Sounds good to me, $300 is a bargain.

Do you think you can give me an estimate on how much the price was supposed to be and how much you would charge me if I were to go to your shop and have gotten the job done there? It turns out this is a hit and run case. The person who hit me said they were going to pay for the job, now they are backing up and saying that she is only going to give me $125.00 because that's what the job costs. I am gathering estimates to prove to this person that this was a good deal and that I'm not trying to cheat her. I will really appreciate it. Thank you.

They are just trying to get away cheap. Get the estimates, $300 wouldn't cover the parts.

Also remind them that a hit and run can be prosecuted as a criminal case.

Wow I wasn't aware of that. Thank you for letting me know. Yes, I obtained estimates from body shops close to home. Thank you so much for all your help.
