Hello,
I recently replaced the rear drums and brakes on my corolla and the car was fine the first day. The following morning it started making a clunk noise coming from the rear end of the vehicle. I have taken apart the brakes and the drums and have adjusted the brakes many times and it still continues to make the clunking noise. The noise happens when the car is coming to a stop not as soon as I step on the brake. Could it be that the drums were defective? or could it be something with the wheel bearings?

Thank you for your help!

Hi there,

I would be checking for any wear in the suspension components, this is sounding like a weight transfer knock, it may be coincidental that it has appeared after doing the brakes up.
