Hi, I got a Toyota Corolla T3, 1.4l manual. A couple of months ago, I noticed that when I am driving on on a motorway or a dual carriage way, it sometimes struggle to go from 4th/5th gear in to second gear (when I had so slow down for a traffic lights or something like that). It only did it on rare accoasions, but still a pain in the butt as I had to then come to a complete stop, and pull away in 1st gear. Then all of a sudden I had a problem with my first to second gear. When I pull away, it is like my car get stuck in 1st gear, or do not want to go into second gear. When I say stuck in first gear I mean that I will apply pressure (sometimes quite a lot) to get my car into second gear. without forcing my gears but with firm pressure tt will take about 2 seconds before getting out of 1st into second, or if it slips out of 1st easy, does the same on the second gear but only to get it in the gear and not out. This would happen alot, but not evertime I change the gears. All the other gears were fine, and that made me think that is is probably not clutch failure as it only did it between the two gears. The last two weeks, the stiffness in changing gears has moved to all the gears, and even reverse are having problems getting into gear correctly with a little grinding noise with it. What is this most likely to be?
