2001 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 58000 miles

driver side rear brake frozen could not get drum off
after releasing adjuster and freeing brake,stiill frozen.How do I get drum off.

There is a small rubber plug in the rear of the brake drum behind the wheel cylinder. Remove it and you can adjust the shoes all the way in, using a flat blade screwdriver.

There should also be two threaded holes on the front of the drum. You can thread two bolts in there (M8x1.25, I believe), to help get the drum off.

If it still will not come off, spray the inside of the drum (through the rubber grommet hole) with PB Blaster.
You will then have to change shoes and thourouly clean the hardware and backing plate with brake clean after getting the drum off.
