2001 Toyota Corolla Broken hood cable

My carolla's hood cable is broken at the very end where the hood locks. Is there any way to open it without going to the garage. Thanks

You need a strong flat screwdriver thick enough to pry under the hood and strong enough not to break. You will be able to bring the hood up just enough to see the latch. Use a wrench or other strong tool to move the latch to the left. It's best to have an assistant hold the hood up while doing this.
