I have 2 questions.

1. From yesterday, I feel vibration and hear unusual noise from engine when I brake at traffic light. I tried with the gear in neutral, reverse and parking. The same thing happened with reverse, but a lot less vibration and noise in park and neutral position. Vibration and noise grow until I feel and hear after braking. I checked engine oil level which was low but still acceptable. No engine check light. It seems to be worse as engine gets warmer.

2. For 3-4 years, I have been having starting problem under very cold weather (Minnesota). When engine is cold, it gets turned on, but very low idle, then 1-2 seconds later, makes "click" sound from I think under my feet, then engine seems to idle in a normal way. But no problem after engine gets warmed up.
Do you think this problem is related with the above one?

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Peter

peteri assumeyour engine vibration is actually caused by a worn engine mount and your engine is grounding out. you will need to have the engine and transmission mounts checked to see if any are worn out. the engine is held in by rubber mounts to prevent vibration and when the rubber wears the engine sags thus causing it to vibrate. you will usually hear the vibration mostly at idle with your foot on the brake in gear. hope this helps
