A few months ago I took off the battery connectors to clean and once I put them back on and started to drive the gears began to slip. When the car is switching to 2nd gear the car doesn't accelerate. We added transmission fluid and that fixed the problem. I recently did the same and took off the battery connectors and again the gears started to slip, I added transmission fluid, but it seems to be slipping here and there. What could this be? If the battery is affecting the transmission could it be a tranmission switch failure?

Most likely a bad solenoid, or bad connection.

Most shops can test each solenoid to isolate problem.
