Took car in for state inspection and was informed relay switch was going bad because left turn signal would not come on. Went and purchased a replacement and attempted to take the old one out to replace and it won't come out. I am trying not to take it to a repair shop for fear I may be charged to replace it with the part I purchased. How can I remove the old one to put in the new one?

Sometimes you have to spread or depress one side of the flasher clip and work it out gradually same as other side-They are tricky to remove-look at it closely-
