everytime my car hits a small bump even a sewer cover the noise it makes is almost unbearable. It is mostly coming from the back passenger side right by the tire. I notice when the temperature goes down it will do it but when it warms up it doesnt. Last time I had it checked they said i need struts. Is this noise a result of the struts? Or do you think something else is causing this? Why does the real cold weather make this happen? It is so bad it seems that i dont have any shocks on that side. thank you kathy

Heat and cold expand and contract metal and can cause more/less noise depending on where contact failure is.

Have rear struts replaced and have strut mounts inspected, it is unususal for a Toyota to need struts this soon, unless wrecked.
