6 months ago my radiator blew and car overheated. After taking it to the garage i was advised to get new radiator fitted as the original was leaking.Since this job has been done my cars temperature gauge never rises above quarter way, coolant needs to be added about 250ml every 4 weeks into the radiator as the coolant chamber is always full and then theres this clay like substance forming at the top of radiator and in coolant reservoir.my mechanic mr dumbass tells me this is normal with older cars ha ha and possibly gasket problem but there is no white smoke or overheating.so if anyone has any ideas please help as i dont trust this money grabbing mechanic.

Have a compression test performed on all cylinders. The sludge is not normal and could be a result of exhaust gases entering cooling system.
