I have 175/65R14 tires on the car at this time & I need change for new. Can I put a 175/60R14 on the same rim? My reason, I would like a little wider tire I think it would make it handle & look a little better.

As long as overall height and width do not interfere with suspension, you would be OK.

Going from a 65 to a 60 should not cause any problems, although speedometer may be slightly off.

If you want a slightly wider tire, try going with a 185 or 195 -65/14. I have a Corolla S that has the 195-65/15 on it as the stock tire for my model. If you check with tirerack.com, when you list the specs for the tire size, you should also find the recommended rim width too.
