Good Day,
My corolla won't run right. Started after a 100 mile highway trip, it simply would not start. Checked spark, and fuel and compression. Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. Now I can get it to run after cranking a long time and jumping it. Will run well or at least reasonably well for a little while. HELP! I am about to take it to a mechanic. Jake

What quality of spark do you have? when you test it, the spark should be blue and bright, if it is weak and orange you may have a weak coil.Have you verified fuel pressure with a manual gauge?

The spark was indeed bright. I put new spark plugs in as well. While I did not pressure test the fuel pressure, I did replace the fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. I did attempt to get codes out of it, and all I get is that there are no codes to be gotten. I can get it started and it will run, for a little while anyhow. Then it goes back and has the same symptoms as before all the work. Could it be a voltage problem which limits fuel via the fuel pump? Generally when it acts up, I can jump it and get it to run. Other than at idle, or at low speeds, it runs well, when it wants to run that is. Thanks!!

Use a voltmeter at the battery. measure voltage idling with nothing extra on. then measure with headlights and a/c on.
