Engine Performance problem
1994 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 116K miles
My 1994 Toyota Corolla with 116,000 miles on it has a idle problem. The car sputters and even stalls when at idle (sitting in the driveway, stop sign..Etc) But it only does this after the engine is hot and up to temperature, the car seems flawless while it is cold. We had replaced the spark plugs, ignition wires, rotor, and distributer cap with aftermarket parts. After reading that these parts should be OEM we replaced the Ignition wires, Distributer cap and Rotor. Not the spark plugs, I did not think they were the problem because spark plugs are usually only sparking or not sparking. With the new OEM parts the car ran noticeably better, but still had the same problem, sputtering and sometimes stalling at idle when the car is hot. We also cleaned and tested the intake control valve and learned that is not the problem. We can not figure out what the problem is or could be, Please Help!!!!
