Transmission problem
1993 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 200K miles
I was driving at about 50 mph when my transmission seemed to simply go into neutral by itself. I could rev the engine and the tach moved up and down but no power to the wheels. I coasted into a parking lot, put the car in park then back into drive. At that point, everything seemed fine and I drove home. I haven't driven it much since but when I have, no problem. I am taking it to have the transmission fluid and filter changed today. Am I wasting my money? Has anyone seen this behavior before? Thanks, Jack.
