The A/C in this car was OK yesterday. Now, when I pust the a/c buttton and switch on the fan, nothing happens. The light on the button is dark and the clutch doesn't engage the compressor. The 15 amp fuse under the right kick panel is good. Relays next to the battery are OK. My Haines manual has almost no documentation for the a/c electrical so I'm not sure where else to look. Is there a fuse ahead of the clutch or a relay I'm not seeing?
****Update*****
I've also noticed that the condenser fan is on all the time. I started the car this morning (with A/C switch off) and the fan for the condenser is running. I can check the A/C relays again with and without voltage applied to see if they work. Is there a thermal switch that cuts power to the clutch when the condenser heats up?
