Transmission problem
1993 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
I have a 1993 Toyota Corolla. The motor spun a bearing so I swapped the motor and transmission out of the geo in to the corolla. Here is the kicker. The Geo is an overdrive tranny and the corolla had a 3 speed. I can manually shift it out by hand and it shifts fine. If I put it in drive only that is what gear it takes off in. Will this ever work? I changed the ECM already and no change. Any ideas? I think that my corolla tranny is about shot so I would really like to use the geo. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Both cars are 1993 models.
