I have a '92 Corolla that I just took in for an alignment and new tires. Firestone tells me that I need:
1) Wheel cylinder; rt. rear starting to seep brake fluid & both wheel cylinders need to be replaced for $291.98 Says "system failure - required" to do.
2) Bushings (Both lower-front) says that in control arm cracking/dry rotting & control arms need to be replaced to the tune of $672.56. Says "suggested maintenance"
I have just finished replacing a CV boot/axle, timing belt, ignition switch, got complete tune up, and now tires. Are these other recommended repairs necessary/do they make sense?
My goal is to get my trusty little Corolla in great running order and a new coat of paint so I can keep her going for a long while... but just wondering if these recommended repairs are essential, as this is getting expensive.
Thanks
