Hi john winters,

If crank pulley is equipped with harmonic damper, it could be the cause.

What have I done wrong?

How do I know that you don't understand a thing about cars?

If you do not understand, you only need to say so and I will try my best to help. If you are not going to accept any answer and help, why ask in the first place?

Start by checking belt alignment, look down belt and make sure they are aligned with balancer.

If OK, then check belt for contaminates, like oil or coolant.

If OK, then check the balancer, make sure it is tight, there is a large bolt that holds it to crank.

Make sure belt tension on alt. is tight.

Let us know what you find.

KHLow2008 answer was correct, the balancer on the 91 is bolted on and does not require a puller to take off.

If loose or broken, it will squeal.

Are you guys trying to duplicate the sound of a squeel or what!

Is there is a loose belt it will squeel.

feel the belts to see if they are cracking or loose.

If you are not confident wether its loose or not 1 by 1 give a belt a squirt of hairspray and then start the engine.

If the squeeling stops then you have found the squeeler!

peace out!
