My car makes a clicking sound in the left wheel area when I turn right, but when I straighten it the clicking goes away. Also, the front inside tires are wearing out. A car mechanic I've never used before believes the clicking is coming from the axle and needs to be replaced.
The mechanic said to have a realignment done preferably the same day the axle is done. He was prepared to make me an appointment to replace the axle without even checking it first. What do you think?
Would getting an alignment done first be worth doing to see if the clicking stops and front tires stop wearing out?
Thanks in advance.
