hi, friends.
i am in need of help in changing a starter motor for my mother-in-law's 1990 toyota corolla. its my first time changing the starter and would like some of your feedback on how hard it is to accomplish or perform.
i'm pretty decent in terms on Mechanicals Knowledge.. i do my own oil changes/tune ups/transmission flush/radiator flush/ and other misc things in the past. does this seem like something i can start and finish in a hour or two of time?
and secound, i would like to know what is it i need to do PRIOR to removing/installing the new Starter Motor.
1) do i disconnect battery terminals? to prevent being shocked or fried-
2) do i need to pull any fuse?
3) any other things that need to be done before removing STARTER MOTOR?
thank you so much, guys i'd appreciate any help or input. if anyone out there have already done this or have detailed instruction iam more than pleased/willing to listen to any advice and suggestion.
