2000 Toyota Celica Clutch Not Disengaging All the Time

I really need some advice on what might be the cause of this. So i installed a new clutch and lightweight flywheel and followed the repair manual exactly.

Most of the time it shifts perfectly, feels good like there is a new clutch is in there and a lot smoother than the old stock one. Then some times now I have an issue getting it to disengage to shift into gear. I have tried bleeding the slave cylinder. Now it has only been on the car for about 200 miles so far.

Do you think the problem could be the slave cylinder? or Do i need to adjust the clutch pedal so i am physically pushing it in farther?

Really need some advice.

Hi
There are two adjustments you can check
Freeplay push pedal with hand until you meet resistance that should be between .20 to .59 inch.
If out loosen locknut on push rod and adj.
Pedal height measure fron carpet(remove floor mat) to bottom of pedal 5.4 to 5.75 inch. If out adj. height on opposite side of pedal from push rod.

thanks, i am going to adjust the pedal today and re-check the hydraulics, atleast bleeding the slave cylinder again. Seems that others with a celica that put aftermarket clutchs have had same issue. Sometimes it seems to be the slave or master cylinder are going bad and can't hold the pressure of a new clutch.

So what do you think about that exactly? Would it help to just get the rebuild kits for the slave and master?

They are alluminim and don't kit very well. If not pitted then kit will work. I know after market on toyo don't seem to diaphram height causing slave to travel further. And for me when I do a clutch it gets new hydraulics and eleminates come backs.
