1994 Toyota Celica Engine misfire

if the knock sensor did not solve the prob then most likely it is because the timeing is going to far out of range.

the knock sensor does exactly what it say's .it listens for a knock when it senses one it tells the ecm to advance timeing .

so if the ecm can.t advance timing enough to satisfy the knock .

possibly a stretched timeing belt or chain . i would check all of the timing

Hi the problem is solved. The car was over boosting so the mechanic manually adjusted the boot controler. But he reccomnded a electronic boost controller woud be better.
