1991 Celica GTi 2 litre. I have replaced the Distributor Cap and the high tension cable to the coil and finally the coil itself - my car is still cutting out dead while driving (at any speed) and very intermitend - worse when hot but happens cold. Starts as soon as the high tension lead / or 12 volt connection is disconnected and reconnected. Can cut out again in 2 minutes or 1 hour.

Block the airflow meter flap open and see what happens-sounds more like fuel problem
