1991 Toyota Celica Rough Idle

This car has a rough idle. If I jump the service electrical connector TE1 to E1 the motor runs great. As soon as I disconnect the jumper it idles rough again. ?

When you jump the connectors the IAC goes to the fully closed position, It also removes all computer advance so you can set mechanical timing, so I would take the IAC off and clean it and the TB port. That should help fix the idle.
Also look for any vacuum lines that are suspect, cracked/torn.

NOTE: Do not remove the IAC with ign. on or diagnostic terminals jumped.
