Engine Performance problem
1991 Toyota Celica 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 300K miles
I have a 5 speed transmission and when I give it just a bit of gas, the RPM can go up to 5-7 grand by itself. The car picks up speed on it's own. I have replaced the trottle cable and it seemed to solve the problem for a while, but it is now happening again. It is as if the gas pedal is sticking or being pushed down by itself.
I am now being told it is the idle trottle sensor control, which has been ordered, but not picked up or put on as of yet.
I wanted to know if that sounds about right?
