removing axels from 94 camry a.t. tranny

I'm trying to remove axels from a 94 tyota camry a.t. tranny i'm replacing the 2200 4cyl motor and the castings in the tranny will not pop out. how do I get them out?

Could be a C-clip holding it back-get the book and follow the procedures.
