Hi,

I have a 1992 Toyota Camry (Automatic, V6) with about 151,000 miles. The past two weeks I have noticed that my car shakes intermittently when stopped or driving under 10 miles an hour. I also am having a problem accelerating quickly. I am fearful that if I don't get this problem fixed soon that my car will eventually start shutting off completely.

Could you please shed some light on what may be causing the problem? Also, if you could in any way give me a general estimate on what is would cost to fix the problem that would be helpful as I don't really know much about cars and have been bamboozled in the past.

Thank you very much.

Check your fuel filter/fuel pump,it sounds like the fuel pump may be going bad.Does the engine ever smooth out between shaking?does the car sputter during acceleration?or is it just lacking in power? If the problem is determined to be the fuel pump, the cost of the part should be less than 100.00,and labor 150.00 or less, hope this helps!
