Master Cylinder Replacement

Hello,

Replacing the master cylinder and bleeding the brakes are fairly straight forward process. It can be done in a relatively short period of time depending on your comfort level.

Keep in mind that brake fluid is corrosive and can be irritant to skin. So, it is ideal to wear safety glasses and latex gloves.

Before removing the master cylinder, you will have to get all of the fluid out of the reservoir, you can use a syringe to do that.

After installing the new master cylinder, you will have to add brake fluid and bleed the brake system for any air that could have gotten trapped.
