2007 Toyota Camry 2007 Camry Struts Leaking 22,000 miles. P

If the car has leaking struts it is not safe to drive on the road, time to start thumping the counter and demanding that they fix this, this is only delays tactics so as not to do it as a warranty, ring Toyota customer support and report this, get a reference Number to confirm that this problem has been reported with in the warranty period, this will be the best way to get some action going, if still no luck contact your local business complaint office or what ever you have there to report sub standard business practices.

Thanks for the reply. So i contacted Toyota directly and they told me that i will get a call back from the Toyota that i went to, to get this problem resolved. Well, they called me and all they said was that yes yout struts are leaking, but their are within safe limits according to Toyota Standards. If that's the case, then why was i told numerous time before to get them replaced and now that i went to replace it the tell me its safe? Is it because i have less than 1 month in my warranty? Should i replace my tires if i drove only 22,000 miles to work and back within 3 years? All this seems fishy to me. This is our 3rd Toyota vehicle in the past 6 years, and i think this will be the last one. Please if you have any-other suggestions i am listening.

unfortunately Toyota hold all the Aces here, its there warranty policy, they deem that the part still conforms to there safety standards, so as far as they are concerned end of story, now as i am in Australia i am unsure as how your cars are inspected for road safety, we have a roadworthy certificate, this is done by a specialist trained to check vehicles to confirm with the safety standards laid down by law, if a car does not meet the standard, not even the manufactures can argue the point, how are your cars inspected for road safety requirements? and by who?

that is done once a year. We take the car to be inspected and it has to pass a series of tests in order for it to be deemed safe to drive. You can take it to most shows that are licensed to do NY State inspections. They charge $37 usually pass or fail. I might actually consider on doing that. Thanks for that tip. Hope it works. If not and Toyota does nothing about it, i guess i'll be done with Toyota for good and stop preaching that everyone buy today and actually do the opposite :)
