For 4 1/2yrs I've had this thumping noise in the front right of my car especially while turning. It has been examined by Toyota service department and all was clear (so they said). Recently I found a mechanic who checked it out completely and thought it was right transaxle. It was replaced and the sound is still there. The entire front end has been checked and the noise is still there. Please give me some suggestions as to what this may be.

Hi Camary2005,

How loud is the noise and how does it sound like?
At what speed does it occur?
Does acceleration and deceleration makes any difference?
Any difference making right or left turns?
Is noise present when moving straight ahead?
Any difference on uneven road conditions?

It occurs mainly when making turns at approx.10-15 miles. It is loud enough for someone walking on the street to hear it. Once reaching that speed the noise is still there just not as loud. On uneven roads the noise is more noticeable and louder.
