I have had a 99 Camry sitting idle deciding what to do with it.Finally my neighbor agreed to let me store the car in her garage. Before I took it off the road my mechanic told me I would have to replace the transmission sensor. This is a spare car I inherited so insted of keeping it on the road I dropped the reg and ins and am now storing it.The problem is when I started it up and drove it around the neighborhood the shifting was difficult. As I pulled into the garage I put it in park and realized I wasn't in far enough. When I went to shift into drive to move forward the shift lever was just loose and not responding to any gears. It went up and down the p,n,d,etc but it felt like a cable was gone.I s this on account of the sensor letting go?It seems like I will have to have it towed out of the garage and to my mechanic in the spring.Any thoughts. Thanks
