Transmission problem
1999 Toyota Camry V6 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 103000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi....

I had changed my gasket and gasket pan couple of weeks ago by using the AT filter Kit because I noticed some leak and the gasket was really worn out. The change was done in a garage and they added more oil to make up the leak.

Tonight when I was on the road the transmission failed. I noticed it was taking more time to shift the gears and I had to pull out the car to a park lot. In the park lot, the transmission died and I was only able to engage the R mode but the others L,2,D did not work.

I hope you can bring me some light of what happened.

Have the throttle position and vehicle speed sensor check their input signals represents the throttle and governor pressures to the computer and in turn the computer commands the transmission shifting solenoids to upshift/down/lock up.

Thanks Rasmataz! I will do it, just wondering why the signals might have failed? What triggered that?
