1999 Toyota Camry Removal of cv axel

I am removing the passenger side cv half axel. I am free from the wheel, have removed the bolt and the snap ring from the middle of the axel. I can't get the axel out of the transmission. What else do I need to do?

Hi dcritt
take a big pry bar place between CV joint housing and the trans. Take care of the seal and with a thrusting movement dislodge the axle.
