Engine problem

I own a 1999 Toyota Solara. I had problems with the check engine light flashing. After having a Toyota dealer diagnostically check the engine, they informed me that it was the fuel injectors, but there was no way of knowing which fuel injector is misfiring. They told me that I would have to replace the back three. If this didn't solve the problem, then the front three would have to be replaced. All in all it could cost me $1500. Is it true that a certain misfiring fuel injector can't be pinpointed, andthat it is a hit-or-miss situation? Thanks for any help you can give me. Pat Harris
