While driving my Camry I drove thru some water during a storm. Some type of sensor or relay appeared to get wet. The tranny started to stutter after stopping and then when shifting into 2nd appears to disengage entirely with no movement and high rpm. The car dried out and went back to normal after 2 days. It just happened again 1 week later after getting wet. This time the car will not engage at all when started and put into gear. I was able when it first got wet to turn the car off and restart, resetting the relay and the car would engage for a short run then disengaging again. Now the transmission fluid smells burnt. Not sure if its because I overheated transmission by pushing the car to try and drive it home as I was stranded with my 2 kids. Now I am worried if this will happen every time the car gets wet too. Even after its fixed!!!
Thank you.
Thank you.
