Recently I made a trip to Florida from Indiana. Most of the way, I used the heat or nothing at all. However, when I reached Florida, I started to use my AC. Shortly after I began to use it, I stopped for lunch and when I started to drive again, I noticed a burning type smell. I pulled over and found that there was a water leak underneath the car. My first guess was that I have a bad hose or something having to do with Heating/Cooling of the engine. But now I wonder if the leak would be completely related to the AC.
I notice that my overflow coolant reservoir usually drops after I've driven and the leaks persist (all after I've used AC). Are these two things related? If so, any guesses as to what the issue may be? Is it alarming or just one of those things that happens to older vehicles?
