1998 Toyota Camry gas tank

When filling gas tank up on empty it overflows. Can fill up if I fill it slow. What's causing this?

Hi there,

This will be the fuel tank venting system, you are getting air locked in the tank causing the problem, this will require a mechanic to investigate as it is a some what involved system.
